• Tareas a desarrollar:

Interns will assist the team in its mission to support emerging artists and curators in residency. Interns will work closely with the Executive Director, Curator, Operations Director and Communications Manager and Arts Administrator to help manage the residency program including general office tasks (Admin) and programming (exhibitions, talks). Interns will help organize the weekly studio visits schedule with curators, critics, dealers and collectors; help organize get-togethers between artists at the Residence and meetings with staff as well as field trips in museums and galleries; maintain an up-to-date list of current and past artists' achievements; assist with programs (virtual and in-person) featuring new work by the artists in residence, installation, etc; social media input of programming content; work closely with each artist; help maintain the Residence space, among others. Between May and October, Interns will help manage the artist studio spaces and public programming that will take place on Governors Island. The Residence will offer a wide range of public programming at its House on Governors Island, highlighting the practices of local and international artists-in-residence. A new intern project that started in 2024 is the "RU voices" interview series, where resident artists are invited to participate in short interviews which highlight their practice and residency experience. These interviews are conducted and edited by interns, under the supervision of the Communications Manager.
