The trainee is expected to carry out the research project in the laboratory using molecular biology, microbiology and bioinformatics techniques.

Project for trainee: Cloning and expression of proteins from phages and evaluation of their activity towards bacterial cells.

Tasks:

• Sequencing and characterization of the gene region coding for phage proteins.

• Cloning and expression of the gene of interest in Escherichia coli

• Purification of the phage protein

• Evaluation of the activity of the protein against different bacterial cells.
